Problems Getting Into Chat?

You  need to be running the latest java version this can be downloaded from HERE
Windows Vista and Chat-Room Problems Click HERE

Internet Explorer

Select Tools -> Internet Options.
Select the 'Advanced Tab'
Scroll down to Java (Sun)
Ensure that 'Use JRE 1.5 ...' is selected.
Scroll down to Microsoft VM
Ensure that no options are selected here.
 Go to "tools" then "internet options" and click on the "security tab". Then click on "custom Level". Once in that window there will be a section for "Active X controls". Make sure that "run Active X controls and plugins" is set to "Enable".

Problems Getting Into Chat?

Firefox

MacAfee Virus Scan

In your "tools" menu you need to ensure that
"enable Java" and "enable JavaScript"
are both "checked"

"Version 8" has a bug which may prevent you from connecting to the Webzchat chatroom. To temporarily disable this feature, "right-click" on the "MacAfee Virus Scan icon" in your system tray (it's a blue bordered shield surrounding a red 'V') and select "Disable On-Access Scan"

Help With The Site And Problems With Other Users

Not receiving mail Make sure Y/you have entered the correct email address on Y/your profile.
Make sure Y/your email settings are set to accept email from webzchat.co.uk
Checking Y/your email settings Hotmail
1. Click on the "Options" link in the top right corner of your inbox page
2. Choose the "Junk E-Mail Protection" mail option that comes first
3. Choose the "Safe List" option
4. Enter "www.webzchat.co.uk" into the address box
5. Click on the “Add” button
Yahoo! Mail
1. In your Inbox page select “Address” tab and then click on the “Add Contact” button
2. Enter www.webzchat.co.uk into the “E-mail” field
3. Click on “Save” at the bottom, then choose “Done”
America Online (AOL)
1. Form your AOL Mailbox, select the Mail Tab menu, and then choose “Address Book”
2. Click on the “Add” icon at the bottom of the pop-up window
3. Put "www.webzchat.co.uk" to the "Other - Email" field
4. Choose the “Primary E-mail” box
Microsoft Network
1. Click on the “Junk e-mail” link at the bottom of the inbox page
2. From the Guard Settings links choose the third one “Safe List”
3. In the pop-up window fill out the “Email” field with www.webzchat.co.uk
4. Choose the “Save” option
Microsoft Outlook
1. Select “Options” from the “Tools” dropdown menu
2. On the “Preferences” tab in the “E-mail” section click on the Junk E-mail” button
3. Choose either “Safe Senders” or “Safe Recipients” tab
4. Select the “Add” button
5. In the pop-up window enter www.webzchat.co.uk to the address box and click on “Ok”
Other ISPs
1. Save the address www.webzchat.co.uk in any address books and/or safe lists with your e-mail service provider
2. We would suggest that you constantly check you spam, junk and blocked e-mail folders in case of any messages from www.webzchat.co.uk were mistakenly directed there
 
Receiving abusive mail Copy the email including the username and add it to the form in Webzchat Support
 
 
Chat-room or PM abuse Copy and paste the abusive text and attach it to the support form. If Y/you are unsure how to do this please fill out the form giving the date, time, Y/your username and the username of the person abusing Y/you on the Webzchat Support form.
 
Delete Y/your account This Y/you can do via the "Delete My Account" button on Y/your homepage.
